About 20 years ago I sat beneath this tree
at a
Women in the Woods Workshop
held by Tina Stromstead, Meg Wilbur and Virginia Holmquist.
Inspired by the tree's age and courage - I drew it -
and wrote the lines, below.
They still mean a lot to me, now, at 84.
I REALLY 'GET IT'
ALTHOUGH MY TIME IS SHORT
I don't have to rush and push
I can cherish the moments
To remind myself
I washed a page with walnut ink -
copied the following words
in amateurish calligraphy
and hung it where I can see it every day!
