WE PICKED ARMLOADS OF ROSES YESTERDAY
from an old fragrant bush at my brother-in-law's house.
They aren't the thick-petalled, many-layered commercial roses -
they're just simple, fresh, delicate blossoms - flouncy and innocent
~ the kind Martha Stewart gathers in her garden
thrusts casually into a pricey Chinese vase
and places on the little wrought-iron table in her breakfast room!
I had so much fun arranging the roses in our own humble but beloved containers
and snapping their pictures to share with you!
