Below is the unbelievable simplicity of the tiny town of Bladworth, Saskatchewan, birthplace of my mother, Gladys Palmer Anderson, born 1907.
I was touched by this picture - captured by Canadian photographer, Danny Singer.
Her father, my Grandpa, Charles Roy Palmer, moved around the prairie provinces as a dairy farmer, a barber, and a contractor. They also lived in the tiny towns of Stony Mountain and Mortlach before moving to the big city of Winnipeg, Manitoba,
~ where I was born in 1934.
And now, after decades of city living in Seattle, Chicago,
Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles -
I live in the tiny town of Coupeville, Washington,
finding a lovely feeling of neighborliness and family.
Here's the map of my journey ~
